How to Get to Maracanã Stadium

By Metro

The easiest way to get to Maracanã is by metro. You should take Line 2 and get off at Maracanã or São Cristóvão. It is also possible to get off at São Francisco Xavier station (Line 1), depending on your preference.

  • Maracanã Stadium Access through entrances A, B, and C.

  • São Cristóvão: Access through entrances D, E, and F.

  • São Francisco Xavier: Access through entrances C, D, and E.

If you're coming from Barra da Tijuca or Ipanema and Copacabana, you'll need to take Lines 4 or 1 and transfer at the right station.

By Train

The stations Estádio Maracanã and São Cristóvão are also served by Supervia, which is the train line connecting different areas of Rio. You can use this transport to get to the stadium quickly and conveniently.

By Bus

Several bus lines pass near the stadium. The main lines that go to Maracanã are: 222, 432, 455, 488L, and 665.

By Car
