Without Paulinho, who is recovering, and newly signed Facundo Torres, the Abel Ferreira's team will aim to win their fourth consecutive title in the state competition. Paulinho will be registered as soon as he recovers and is regularized with the CBF.

New Competition Format
The Paulista Championship of 2025 will maintain the format of the last editions. Teams will compete in 12 rounds against opponents from other groups. The two best teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, which will be decided in a single match. Palmeiras is in Group D, alongside Ponte Preta, São Bernardo, and Velo Clube.
Player Registration Criteria
The List A allows the registration of up to 30 players, with a deadline until February 11. The List B has no limit on athletes but requires that they were born from 2004 onwards and have been registered for at least 12 months with the club, even if they were loaned to other teams during that period.

Title History and Season Objective
The Palmeiras, the current three-time champion of the Paulistão, seeks to achieve an unprecedented feat in the professional era: a fourth consecutive championship. In the history of the competition, only Paulistano, between 1916 and 1919, managed to win four consecutive editions. The then Palestra Itália, precursor of Palmeiras, broke this streak by winning the title in 1920. With a strong and competitive squad, the Verdão aims for another glorious chapter in its history.
