On November 30th, Botafogo won its first Copa Libertadores, defeating Atlético-MG 3-1 in the final. This historic victory not only ended a 29-year trophy drought but also brought the club an unprecedented international honor.
Then, on December 8th, in the final round of the 2024 Brazilian Championship, Botafogo defeated São Paulo 2-1 and, after 29 years, once again claimed the national title, achieving great glory both domestically and internationally. Botafogo, is truly glorious.
What Was Botafogo's Last Title Before the Libertadores?
The last trophy lifted by Botafogo was in 2021, when they shone in the Série B of the Brazilian Championship. After being relegated in 2020, the club made an impressive comeback and secured the title with 70 points, leaving the runners-up, Goiás, behind with 65 points.
However, when it comes to the Série A, the wait for glory has been much longer. The last title in the elite of Brazilian football occurred in 1995, the year the legendary Túlio Maravilha was the top scorer and protagonist of the historic conquest for the carioca club.

What Titles Has Botafogo Won?
Although it has experienced a period of drought in major achievements in recent years, Botafogo carries a rich history of important trophies. Throughout its history, the club has won 33 official titles, including two editions of the Brazilian Championship Série A, one Copa Libertadores, one Copa CONMEBOL, and 21 times the Campeonato Carioca.
