Qualifier 1: PBKS vs RCB
Table-toppers Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the first Qualifier on May 29.
Both sides ended the group stage with 19 points each, but PBKS secured the top spot with a superior net run rate.
Led by Ricky Ponting and powered by Josh Inglis and Priyansh Arya, PBKS booked their top-two finish after beating Mumbai Indians in a dominant fashion.
RCB, on the other hand, sealed their Qualifier 1 place in dramatic style.
Jitesh Sharma’s 85 off 33 balls guided them to a record 230-run chase against Lucknow Super Giants, overshadowing Rishabh Pant’s 118.
With Virat Kohli also in strong form, RCB enter the IPL playoffs with momentum and belief.
Eliminator: GT vs MI
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will meet in the Eliminator on May 30.
GT, captained by Shubman Gill, finished third despite losing their last two games. MI, led by Hardik Pandya, just scraped into the top four with 16 points.
Suryakumar Yadav remains a bright spot for MI, while GT’s Sai Sudharsan leads the Orange Cap race.
The Eliminator promises fireworks, with both teams needing three straight wins to lift the trophy.
