First Half: SRH Struggles with Batting
Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl, a decision that paid off early.
The MI bowlers kept a tight grip on the SRH batsmen, restricting them to 162/5 in their 20 overs.
A solid bowling performance, including 39 dot balls, ensured that SRH never truly found their rhythm.
SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma struggled to get going, finishing the powerplay with just 46 runs.
A break in the partnership came when Hardik Pandya dismissed Sharma (24 off 29) and then injured his ankle while bowling, forcing him to receive medical treatment.
MI's bowlers continued to squeeze, with Will Jacks taking 2 wickets for 14 runs.
SRH's middle order, including Heinrich Klaasen (37 off 28) and Nitish Reddy (19 off 21), failed to accelerate, leaving the team with a modest total.
Despite a late cameo from Aniket Verma (18 off 8 balls), SRH finished their innings with just 162 runs on the board.
Batter | Runs | Balls | Strike Rate |
Heinrich Klaasen | 37 | 28 | 132.14 |

Second Half: MI Chases Down the Target
In response, Mumbai Indians started well with the bat.
Rohit Sharma (26 off 16) and Ryan Rickelton (31 off 23) laid a solid foundation.
However, SRH’s Pat Cummins dismissed Sharma in the fourth over, and Harshal Patel soon removed Rickelton.
At that point, MI was in a slight spot of bother, but Suryakumar Yadav (26 off 15) and Will Jacks (36 off 26) steadied the ship with a partnership worth 52 runs off 29 balls.
Pat Cummins was the key bowler for SRH, removing both Yadav and Jacks to bring SRH back into the game.
However, MI captain Hardik Pandya took charge, smashing a quickfire 21 off 9 balls before being dismissed.
Despite a brief collapse in the 18th over, MI comfortably chased down the target, needing just 2 runs off the final 2 balls.
