Sport Recife Wins Against Chapecoense and Prepares for Next Challenge in Serie B

This Sunday (10), Sport Recife defeated Chapecoense 1-0, in a match held at Ilha do Retiro, in Recife (PE). Julián Fernández scored the winning goal, and striker Perotti found the net for a second goal, but it was disallowed for offside. The Pernambuco team remains without victories in their last three matches of the Serie B of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

First Half

The first opportunity came in the 13th minute, when Baleiro, taking a free kick from the center of the area, connected with a header from Julián Fernández, but Chapecoense's goalkeeper made an efficient save.

Ten minutes later, striker Julián Fernández made a great pass while dribbling past two Chapecoense players and nearly scored the first goal. The match remained balanced until halftime, with the first half ending in a tie.

Second Half

At the beginning of the second half, the goal came in the first minute. In the 31st minute, Baleiro made a cross pass to Julián Fernández, who rose to head the ball and open the scoring. Chapecoense still tried to create some chances but could not find the net.

In the 38th minute, Perotti, who had just entered the field, received an excellent pass and equalized for Sport Recife, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul. The game ended with the home team winning.
