Deyverson provokes Flamengo fans and thanks for the Libertadores title.

Deyverson once again taunted the Flamengo fans after the 0-0 draw between Atlético-MG and Flamengo at the Maracanã on Wednesday (13), during the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship.

Near the end of the match, Deyverson was substituted by Alan Kardec and was met with boos and insults from the Flamengo supporters. In response, he waved, smiled, and pointed to the CONMEBOL Libertadores trophy tattooed on his leg.

"I don’t know why they insult me; it’s always like this when I come here. I just showed them the trophy, thanking them for the title they gave me. They say I'm a bad player, but I'm grateful to them for giving me the Libertadores with the goal I scored against them," said Deyverson.

The number 9 refers to the Libertadores trophy tattooed on his leg. In 2021, Deyverson played for Palmeiras and scored the decisive goal against Flamengo after intercepting the ball from Andreas Pereira, securing the title for the green-and-white team.

Despite the boos and taunts, Deyverson sees it all as just a healthy joke. He also mentioned the messages he received after Palmeiras lost to Flamengo in the final of the Brazil Cup last weekend.

"I’m not angry with anyone; I’m pretty calm. In football, you need to have that spirit, that relaxed and irreverent attitude. They won the Brazil Cup, made fun of me, posted a lot on Instagram. I didn’t retaliate or respond; I just posted a video of the goal from the Libertadores. That’s not disrespect, aggression, or a threat. Jokes and taunts are part of the game. It’s a healthy banter," added Deyverson.
