Pep's City started the season with a trophy. On Saturday (August 10), they won the FA Community Shield by defeating Manchester United 7-6 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw at Wembley.
Ederson was the hero of the day, saving Jadon Sancho's penalty and then scoring one himself. Jonny Evans then scored, and City triumphed 7-6.
Garnacho scored for the Red Devils, but City equalized in the final minutes with a goal from Bernardo.
Both teams did not play with their full squads.
