Recently, Palmeiras denied rumors that it had made an offer to sign striker Vitor Roque, currently on loan at Betis but owned by Barcelona. According to the newspaper Sport, Verdão reportedly offered 27 million euros (approximately 169 million reais) for the player. However, the club officially denied any attempts at negotiation.

Despite this, Palmeiras continues to search for a center forward. Coach Abel Ferreira, after the draw against Noroeste in the Campeonato Paulista, emphasized the need to strengthen this position. Currently, Flaco López and Thalys are the options in attack, but this is still considered a sector that needs reinforcement.
Vitor Roque has been standing out at Betis, with 7 goals in 27 matches. His loan contract runs until the middle of this year, and according to Sport, Betis may purchase him for 25 million euros (approximately 163 million reais). In the meantime, Barcelona has postponed negotiations with Palmeiras to evaluate the player's performance throughout the season.
So far, Palmeiras has announced the arrival of Facundo Torres and Paulinho, but is still looking for a defender, midfielder, and center forward to strengthen the squad for the remainder of the season.
