Player registrations will be unlimited. That is, clubs can register as many players as they want until the end of the first phase. Additionally, a limit of nine foreign players per game has been established, an adjustment in accordance with the general competition regulations of CBF.
Regarding VAR, the use of this technology will be maintained for the semi-final and final matches. Another point defined for the championship concerns the field conditions. The FPF has committed to reinforcing stadium inspections to ensure minimum playing conditions for the matches.
Athletico is the current two-time champion, defeating Maringá in the final in 2024. PSTC and Galo Maringá were relegated in the last edition, while Paraná Clube and Rio Branco-PR earned promotion from the Second Division.
