The 2024 season of the Brazilian National Team came to an end on November 19, when it drew 1-1 with Uruguay at the Fonte Nova Stadium, marking the conclusion of the year's international competitions.

The Brazilian National Team will only return to the pitch in March 2025, with matches for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, facing Colombia and Argentina. The match against Colombia will take place in Brazil, although the venue and date have yet to be defined, while the game against Argentina still has no dates or locations established.
Match Schedule for 2025
In 2025, the Brazilian National Team will have five official FIFA matches. The first three matches will be valid for the World Cup Qualifiers, with games in March, June, and September. In October and November, the Brazilian National Team will prepare for the World Cup with international friendlies.
Challenges in the South American Qualifiers
In addition to the matches against Colombia and Argentina, the Brazilian National Team will face other South American countries in the Qualifiers, including Ecuador (away), Paraguay (home), Chile (home), and Bolivia (away). Although the Brazilian National Team currently has 18 points in the Qualifiers, qualification for the 2026 World Cup still needs to be secured, with the Brazilian National Team needing to win at least two of the six remaining matches to ensure its spot.
Friendlies during the Qualifiers
During the breaks in the Qualifiers, the Brazilian National Team will also play friendlies. However, the schedule for October and November 2025 will be affected by the European and African Qualifiers. This may hinder the organization of matches against some of the stronger teams in Europe, while the African and Asian Qualifiers will also impact the availability of opponents.
