The Cruzeiro started pressing, and, at the 18th minute, Brais Méndez opened the scoring for Grêmio, taking advantage of a cross from João Pedro. At the 41st minute, Matheus Pereira equalized for the home team. The second half was slower, with few clear chances, and the score remained unchanged.

The team led by Fernando Diniz reached 48 points, remaining in 7th place, while Renato Gaúcho's team achieved 41 points and moved up to 14th place. Despite the draw, Cruzeiro continues to fight to distance itself from the relegation zone, while Grêmio keeps its hopes alive of achieving greater objectives.

On December 1, 2024, Cruzeiro will face Bragantino at 6:30 PM (Brasília time), away from home, in search of improving its position in the table and dreaming of a spot in the Libertadores. On the same day, at 4 PM, Grêmio will host São Paulo at the Arena, in a decisive match for both teams: the gauchos are fighting for a spot in the Sul-Americana, while the paulistas seek to secure their place in the G-4.
