On Tuesday night (15), the Brazilian National Team took advantage of their opponent's fragility and surged in the second half, defeating Peru 4-0 effortlessly at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília, in front of over 60,000 fans. The match was part of the 10th round of the South American Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. With this victory, combined with the win over Chile (2-1) last Thursday, Brazil solidified its recovery in the competition.

From the first minutes, the Brazilian National Team sought to implement Dorival Júnior's tactics, trying to create chances through penetrations. However, the strategy stumbled against the solid Peruvian defensive line, formed by five players.Faced with the difficulty in overcoming this barrier, Brazil finally opened the scoring when Uruguayan referee Esteban Ostojich was called by VAR to review a handball by Zambrano. In the 37th minute, Raphinha converted the penalty, beating Gallese and putting Brazil ahead 1-0.
In the second half, Brazil returned with even more determination and was quickly rewarded. Once again, Zambrano committed a penalty, this time on Savinho, and Raphinha scored the second goal, extending the lead to 2-0.
The National Team maintained an intense rhythm. Dorival's idea, by starting Vanderson in place of Danilo on the right side, was to reinforce the attack on that flank. With Luiz Henrique already on the field, the team grew even more, and after a play by Luiz Henrique on the right, Andreas Pereira hit a beautiful volley in the 25th minute, making it 3-0.
Shortly after, in the 28th minute, Luiz Henrique scored the fourth goal in an individual play, hitting the corner of Gallese's goal and consolidating the 4-0 rout. Despite trying to increase the score, Brazil could not net a fifth goal, and the game ended with that result.
